Food Assistance in Eastern Kentucky
For more than twenty years, Servants of Our Lord Ministry has helped feed families across the Eastern Appalachian counties of Kentucky. We supply food and household necessities to a network of more than 30 local pantries, churches, and outreach agencies that serve their neighbors directly.
Who We Serve
Eastern Kentucky is home to some of the most beautiful country and most resilient people in America — and also to some of the deepest pockets of rural poverty. Families here often travel long distances for groceries, work seasonal jobs, and stretch fixed incomes across growing children, aging parents, and rising costs.
Rather than running a single pantry, we partner with the people already on the ground: small-town churches, established food pantries, school backpack programs, and community outreach ministries. They know their neighbors by name. We help them stock the shelves.
How Families Can Get Help
If you or someone you love needs food assistance in Eastern Kentucky, the fastest path is to reach a local partner pantry in your county. We are glad to point you toward the closest agency we serve.
Our largest monthly distribution is held in Clay City, KY, where partner agencies pick up food to carry back to their communities.
